We, at Redlands, believe the quality goes in before the name goes on. This is why we strive to produce healthy puppies that are sound both physically and mentally. One without the other is not good enough.

Our dogs are BAER and CERF tested prior to breeding. Patellas and hearts are also checked.  There have been advances in testing for prcdPRA and we are now in the process of getting our dogs tested for that as well. We want the total dog. It must be beautiful to look at whether standing, gaiting or just cuddling in your lap. It must be healthy in order to enjoy its life and to provide you with many, many years of companionship.

The temperament is equally as important and it must be that of a sweet, happy, lively and funny companion that brings joy into the lives of it's family.

We breed on a very limited basis and raise all puppies in our home as part of our family. We don't have kennels and feel very strongly that if you don't want a dog to be either on you, under you, next to you or following you every step of every day then a Chinese Crested is not the dog for you.

I am a member of the American Chinese Crested Club and a signer of their Code of Ethics.   I am the current Vice President of the Tupelo Kennel Club, Inc of Tupelo, Mississippi.   I'm a member of the Memphis Toy Dog Club and enjoy their events and meetings when possible. For the past year I've served as Vice President of the Mississippi Canine Coalition, Inc.   I've included links to ACCC and MCC, Inc. above with my other links if you'd like to know more about them.
We take our passion for dogs seriously, therefore, we do try to stay abreast of dog legislation, political issues that may endanger our right to own, breed, show or otherwise share our lives with dogs.  Thus, our involvement in MCC,Inc.
Our membership in ACCC better enables us to keep up with the state of our breed as far as health issues, breed standard revisions, etc. and to retain voting privileges so we can have input into the future of this wonderful breed.
